Eligibility

The Zero-interest Loan is accessible to qualified individual customers of legal age.(1)

You must also be a first-time home buyer, i.e. either you have not owned your principal residence for 2 years or you can prove that one of the beneficiaries meets one of the exceptions below:

  • Be the holder of a Category 2 or 3 disability card, assigned to you pursuant to certain provisions of the Social Security Code.
  • Benefit from a handicapped adult allowance or an education allowance for a handicapped child assigned pursuant to certain provisions of the Social Security Code
  • Have been the victim of a catastrophe that made your principal residence permanently uninhabitable (natural catastrophe, storm damage, etc.). In the latter case, the application must be made within the 2 years following an official declaration of a natural catastrophe or the occurrence of the claim.

Your resources determine your eligibility for a Zero-interest Loan.

Cost

The amount of the Zero-interest Loan is based on:

  • The number of persons who will occupy the housing as their principal residence (the number of persons living in the household)
  • The geographic district where the housing is located: "Robien" Districts A, B1, B2 or C (see the Référentiel des Communes listing of municipalities)
  • Whether an HLM (low income housing project) or a semi-public company was the holder of the previous home
  • For the purchase of an old property
    • Whether the works or renovation are worth more than 25% of the total cost of the transaction
    • Whether the former home is on a list of municipalities
  • The total cost of the transaction

The amount of the Zero-interest Loan is also capped:

  • At the amount of any other loans for a term of 2 or more years (i.e. equal to a maximum of 100% of the other loans that are part of the financing).

Income eligibility

Your resources determine your eligibility for a Zero-interest Loan.

To be eligible, your resources may not exceed the limits appearing on the scales.

Eligibility for the brackets on the scale is based on the higher of the following 2 amounts:

  • The household's taxable income
  • The result of dividing the amount of the transaction by 9, rounded to the nearest euro

Term

The term of the Zero-interest Loan is determined based on the household income or cost of the transaction, the composition of the household, the location of the housing and the type of purchase.
It is indicated by the scales and may be revised downward if you wish. Depending on your income category, a period of capital and interest deferral may be indicated.

Rate

The interest rate is 0%, not including insurance.
