To take out a Rental Property Investor Insurance policy, you must be a BNP Paribas customer and your property must be located in Metropolitan France (excluding Monaco).

  • Unpaid rent insurance covers risks such as property damage or legal proceedings with difficult tenants. It also protects your assets and rent revenue and can reduce your taxes. Your premiums can be deducted from your rent revenue.
  • I already have a tenant. Can I take out this policy during a lease?
  • Yes, you can take out this policy even if you already have a tenant on the premises, as long as they are up-to-date with their financial obligations as of the date you take it out, there were no delays in payment within the 6 months prior to this date, and the majority of payments were not made in cash during the same period. The tenant's file, established when they signed the lease agreement, must contain: a copy of their last salary statement (for employees), the last annual tax or tax-exempt notice, and a valid form of identification or residence permit. Lastly, coverage will only take effect after a probationary period of 3 consecutive months beginning on the policy's effective date or effective sign-up date, during which the tenant must have regularly paid their rent and expenses on time.
